Be sharp or die!
Just read a blog by Mindy Gibbins-Klein ‘Be bold, be opinionated or don’t bother’ And I realised how lazy I’ve got by being ‘busy’ with 28 hour days. What a great way to keep myself from being sharp and at the edge of my thinking. What a great way to keep myself safe from being shot down or receiving validation!
There’s no room to grow when a leader plays safe… for others, for the organisation or for their self. And lack of growth guarantees paralysis, depression and death by atrophy because the market is always moving on.
Definitely time to get off my butt!

Sharon: this is just so TRUE! Staying too busy to be on top of your game makes for a great excuse but is really not productive at all! You do get that buzz from being wanted and important, but it weighs you down, too. Scarier to leave space for reflection, for facing that empty page and creating the future! Thanks for a great starting point to rethink the new year…
Dear Sharon, don’t be too hard on yourself. I think you are too sharp sometimes:-) and alwaysat at the edge of your thinking. And as HHC, I don’t like these 28 hour days – leaders must think of their health, if they want to lead for a long time:-)
Breathe, smile…hugs…
